If you are looking for a perfect base camp to explore Yellowstone National Park and Montana, you've found it! Our guest house is situated on the banks of the Yellowstone River, just 17 miles north of Yellowstone National Park. It is a free standing structure which sleeps 4 comfortably. Stay with us and you'll have easy access to the river, the national park, and the rest of the "Big Sky" state of Montana.
Our family raises horses and maintains pasture and grazing for clients. In the summer, you'll witness the everyday chores of a working ranch--irrigating, haying, fencing, etc. In other seasons, breeding and training horses take up good parts of the day. While you enjoy the peace and quiet of this agrarian setting, rest assured that it's a short ride to the amenities of town. We think it's the best of both worlds.

“We stayed for 2 nights and our only regret is that we did not stay nearly long enough to do anything other than scratch the surface of what the area has to offer. Its such a beautiful and wild location that Yellowstone national park could almost be an afterthought, although its an easy drive to enter the park outside of Gardiner. The properly was clean, the patio and grill super nice, and the kids loved the loft. Vern and Laura were beyond friendly and took an interest in ensuring that we had everything we needed. We hope to return soon."

“My family of four recently stayed at this property and it was a large part of what made our first Yellowstone trip an amazing experience. The Smith family was so gracious and accommodating. The cabin was perfect. Our kids loved the loft bedroom, the beds were very comfortable! Our favorite part was the patio with the grill and fire pit available to use whenever we wanted to. As described it was 20 feet away from the beautiful Yellowstone river setting the perfect backdrop for early am coffee or an evening fire. We can't wait to come back!"

“Our stay at the Smith Ranch was awesome. Vern and Laura made us feel like welcome guests. The unit was very clean and modern with TV, internet, dishwasher and comfortable beds.
